Description: The 'Andi Pandaram' song is an age old song describing Lord Muruga and the one wearing a loin cloth and taking the form of the ultimate Sanyasi (renunciate). The song is synonymous to Kovil Montagne, where it has been sung since time immemorial while Muruga is carried in processions. Now, the song is famous during the Maam Pazham Thiruvizha which depicts a mythological event that leads Muruga towards Sanyas. The song was composed in Mauritius itself by Indian immigrants in the early 1900's.
