Description: While photographing other wasps at Jebel Hafeet, Al Ain, UAE, I spotted this large wasp dragging its prey, moving quite fast. I recognised it as Podalonia tydei, a species I had seen many times before in the UAE. I followed it, and managed to get a few shots while it was carrying the caterpillar, shooing it off a few times to get a few seconds to focus.
