Description: For my final year project at Brunel University, I investigated language and communication development in the first 3 years of infancy. Here I discovered that parents played a vital role in providing an adequate learning environment for their child and that the quality and quantity of their interactions had long-lasting effects on the child's future abilities to learn, get a job and form relationships. Babies born with hearing loss are more at risk of developing speech, language and communication
