Description: Video of the Thistlegorm shipwreck at Sha'ab Ali in the northern Egyptian Red Sea. This ship was carrying military supplies for the British 8th Army in North Africa when it was bombed by German Heinkels on the night of 6th October 1941. Amongst the cargo were BSA motorcycles, Bedford trucks, aircraft spare parts, a couple of steam locomotives with tenders and even wellington boots for the troops.
