The 7th annual Monsoon Mayhem International Surf Challenge returns to Desaru Beach in Malaysia from 4-6 January 2013 as a 2-star Asian Surfing Championship event, which will draw both professional and amateur surfers from all over South East Asia including Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan to compete for the $14,000 MYR ($4,600 USD) in total prize money and ASC championship points, and just to have heaps of fun at this unique event.n nLocated just east of Johor Baru in Malaysia
