Director Brad Bird wanted to close Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol with a sequence that would pay homage to the TV series’ original sequence while also utilized the full potential of main title art. To make this a reality, live action elements were chosen to expand on the film’s action and to call back to the effects and style of the opening sequence. The challenge of this sequence was to integrate the lit fuse into every scene and use that fuse to connect the titles to the film. Brad B
