Description: The White-winged Fairy-wren is widespread in scrubby country in inland Australia. The spectacular male make brief forays to the top of bushes to pronounce possession of their territory to others.They are very wary and difficult to approach and stick close to dense thorn bushes into which they dive or fly off to another one. The blue form of this bird, ssp. leuconotus, is found on mainland Australia. The black nominate subspecies are found on a few islands off the coast of WA.nnA Brown Songla
