To be shown in the ACR Film Festival October 5-6 2012, in Vancouver. We investigate Arab Hospitality in Qatar & UAE in three contexts: home, commercial, and with regard to foreigners who make the majority population in both countries.Elaborate rituals occur in the first two contexts, while hospitality toward foreigners, especially guest workers, is minimal.This is an ethnographic study by Russ Belk and Rana Sobh. We are thankful to the Qatar Foundation for financial support.
