2004 Footage shot by Linda Lewett, filmmaker, of Maida Withers and Anthony Gongora shot in the dungeons of the 14th Century Monastery on Solovky Island, the first Soviet Era GULAG located in Russia in the White Sea near the Arctic.Artists were participating in a 3 week residency on the Island sponsored by Luba Kusovnikova and the ArtAngar Center for Contemporary Arts.We were in the Monastery without permission but felt it was important to document our experiences on the Island.n8B BOOT Proj
