Jobs and hope are scarce in Kiambiu, home to 40,000-50,000.nnKiambiu means “to be on the run” in Kiswahli. Tumaini is a Kiswahili word for “hope.”nThe pastors, who’ve received MMD training, live in the slum alongside their people. Tumaini is not a Sunday only church; it operates a school and a youth program providing mentoring for its young people.
