Description: Steamboat Springs has held a Winter Carnival for the town for 104 years, and 78 of those years have included snow sculptures as part of the downtown artwork on display. This past year was the first year that Steamboat failed to host a snow sculpture competition, so the local townspeople decided to move the contest outside of the school system and over to the Steamboat Springs Arts Council in order to obtain greater community interest, commitment and long-term participation.nnKim Keith, Executiv
