González, the heir to the Don Julio tequila brand, hosted a party for CBP leadership in Laredo, Texas, last July. The officials are accused of failing to disclose contact with a foreign national, as required by their security clearances. González's proposal to create a Border Patrol-branded tequila for the agency's centennial was abandoned following an investigation.
