Description: Uspenski Cathedral is the largest Orthodox Church in Western Europe. Completed in 1868 in Helsinki, Finland on a rock outcrop, it was originally intended for an Imperial Palace. The Byzantine-Russian Architectural style has onion domes that are 22kt gold. This quilt was inspired by the enthusiastic photography of artist, Jeremie McGowan who studied in Finland as a Fulbright Scholar.
