_luke-littler-leaves-peter-wright-stunned-as-the-teenage-darts-sensation-produces-an-outrageous.webp "Luke Littler produced an outrageous performance to brush past two-time world champion Peter Wright on Thursday evening, hitting an incredible triple-double 20 to seal a 6-4 victory. <br/><br/>The 17-year-old will now advance to the semi-final of Premier League Darts Night 16 in Sheffield and will take on Michael Smith later tonight after he defeated Nathan Aspinall. <br/><br/>The PDC World Darts Championship finalist started slowly by his standards against Wright, affording him a 2-1 lead in the opening three legs.<br/><br/>Despite that he'd bounce back, claiming the next three legs, notably hitting three consecutive double-20s to take a 3-2 lead over Wright.<br/><br/>His imperious performance stunned 'Snakebite' with the 54-year-old turning back towards his table before taking a big gulp of water as the crowd inside the Utilita Arena went wild at the 17-year-old's feat.<br/><br/>Luke Littler sends the crowd wild here in Sheffield, producing an extraordinary 120 checkout which leaves Peter Wright stunned!<br/><br/>What a talent <br/><br/>With Littler kicking into second gear, he'd go on to claim the next leg, before Wright produced two 180s to stop the teenager in his tracks and pull a leg back at 4-3. <br/><br/>But Littler would recover his two-leg lead soon after, going 5-3 up, and despite a late comeback from Wright, who took the penultimate exchange, Littler would close out the match at 6-4. <br/><br/>It means the Brit has now bested Wright twice in two consecutive quarter-final clashes on the Premier League Darts circuit.<br/><br/>The teenager defeated the Scot 6-1 on Night 15 but was subsequently thumped by Michael van Gerwen himself in the resulting semi-final. <br/><br/>Tonight's result means Littler will finish at the top of the Premier League Darts standings, having qualified for the play-offs at the O2 in London on May 23. Naturally, all and sundry turn up at the house out of curiosity, but Miss Blacklock and the other inhabitants of the house deny putting such an advertisement in the newpaper. However, at 7pm the lights go out, 3 shots are fired - and someone lies dead on the floor...<br/><br/>This is from one of Joan Hickson's superb Miss Marple series from the 1980's, and easily one of the best they ever did. Among the many star names in this - some before they were famous - are John Castle, Ursula Howells, Renee Asherson, Simon Shepherd, Samantha Bond, Nicola King, Kevin Whately, Elaine Ives-Cameron, Sylvia Syms, Ralph Michael, Matthew Solon, Mary Kerridge, Paola Dinisotti, Joan Sims, David Collings, Vivienne Moore, Liz Crowther, Tim Charrington and Joyce Carey (here aged a sprightly 87). As well as being a fiendishly clever mystery, everyone looks to be having a lot of fun, in particular Simon Shepherd and Samantha Bond as the siblings living with and related to Miss Blacklock. This is from one of my video tapes - an old bought tape, rather than a recorded one this time, and although this was originally a 3 part mystery when broadcast on February 28th 1985, the video tape came as two 1hr 16min parts. Because of this I have had to separate those parts in two to upload on Dailymotion, so this 1st part (1/2) is the length of what would of been the 1st episode. The rest of this superb mystery will follow tomorrow sometime in 3 more parts. Until then, enjoy.")
