Don’t miss the lake at Bitan if you find yourself in Taipei on a hot, sweaty day (which is most days, during the summer). Take the green line of the Taipei subway to the very end (Xindian station) and walk to the lake. You can ride a boat, play carnival games, walk across the huge suspension bridge, eat lunch, sit at a table and have a beer, or jump in the water and go cliff jumping.
