On 10 September 2017 Tuskless female Nalakite was found by Elephant Aware rangers with her three offspring - a male of 10, a male of 7 and a female of about 1 year. She was looking emaciated and had a spear wound. nnThe vets were called and she was treated, but they gave her only a 50/50 chance of surviving.
