However, the recent election results suggest that his influence may be waning. The BJP, which was widely expected to secure a majority, fell short, losing its dominant position in Parliament. Modi now faces the challenge of forging alliances to form a stable government.<br/><br/>Modi's leadership and the BJP's Hindutva ideology, promoting Hindu nationalism, have been contentious.
