Commissioned by Mira Kaushik from Akademi, and produced by Suzanne Walker, Escapade brought hundreds of dancers onto the Southbank Centre. The event immersed audiences into a 360 experience, a kaleidoscope of sight and sound. Escapade featured 146 artists and performers aged from 2 to over 82, and celebrated the dazzling diversity of South Asian dance, with 59 production staff and reached an audience of some 16,000. Music was by Sandeep Chowta who used samples of the clashes “London Calling”
