_tony-seymour39s-fatal-crash-targa-tasmania-2022-report.webp "Tony Seymour, 59-year-old, Australian rally driver from Brisbane, Queensland, lost his life during the second day of the Targa Tasmania, a round of the 2022 Australian Targa Championship, on Wednesday, 27 April of that year.<br/><br/>Seymour who was driving a yellow Lotus Exige #903, lost control of his car which went off the road, fell into a ditch and crashed into a tree. He was killed instantly, his wife and co-driver Sandra Seymour escaped without serious injuries.<br/><br/>The accident happened on Mount Roland, during one of the final stages of the rally. Following the accident, the event was declared non-competitive. Seymour was the fourth driver to lose his life in the Targa Tasmania within two years; three racers, Shane Navin, Leigh Mundy and Dennis Neagle, were killed in 2021 in two separate accidents.<br/><br/>Tony and Sandra Seymour were experienced competitors in the Targa Tasmania; they finished third in GT Sports Trophy class, in the 2019 edition of the rally, and 17th overall in 2021, driving the same Lotus Exige.<br/><br/>R.I.P<br/><br/>(Your welcome again)")

Its supercharged V-8 sings a sexy tune, and its handling is good enough to entertain curious drivers; however, it is smoother than the best of its rivals, the Chevrolet Corvette or Porsche 718 Cayman. Its cabin is comfortable and lined with quality materials, but its design and features haven't been updated in a while. Convertible models come with a power sunroof, which stows neatly in the trunk. but the coupe is nice too, and the additional cargo space is more practical. Either way, the F-type is one of the best-looking sports cars around; handsome enough to grace any driveway and aggressive enough to make driving a pleasure.<br/><br/>Unfortunately, Jaguar has announced that the F-type's final model year will be 2024, coinciding with the brand's 75th birthday. To celebrate this corporate milestone and send off the F-type in style, two special versions, the 75 and the R 75, will be available. Both will be offered as coupe or convertible, but the R 75 will be the only option for those interested in the F-type's more powerful powertrain (a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 producing 575 horsepower). All will come with all-wheel drive standard, but the entry-level R-Dynamic P450 is still offered if you prefer the rear-wheel drive configuration. The 75 and R 75 models differentiate themselves from the R-Dynamic models with special logos inside and out, unique 20-inch wheel designs and the available exclusive Giola Green exterior color.<br/><br/>Although the F-type's 575-hp V-8 engine is attractive, the P450's V-8 sounds just as good and still offers plenty of grunt. The stylish coupe is our pick from our lineup, but the convertible offers the perfect sunbathing experience if that's more your style. A wide range of colors and interior trims are available.<br/><br/>While many sports cars have moved to downsized turbocharged four- and six-cylinder engines, Jaguar has taken the opposite approach, now offering the F-type only with the old-school supercharged 5.0-liter V-8. It produces 444 horsepower in P450 form and 575 horsepower in its high-performance R P575 configuration.<br/><br/>The 575-hp, all-wheel-drive F-type R is rated at 16 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.<br/><br/>The 2024 F-type's cockpit features a driver-focused design and features an interesting mix of materials, including stitching, faux suede accents, and chrome trim. There are also different options for nicer headliners, center console trims and various gloss black parts. Standard six-way power sport seats can be upgraded to 12-way power performance seats with a variety of leather or suede upholstery combinations.
