The SEC accused BF Borgers of failing to perform proper audits and signing off on over 1,500 regulatory filings without doing the required work. As part of a settlement, BF Borgers and its owner agreed to a permanent ban from auditing public companies, requiring Trump Media and other clients of BF Borgers to find new auditors. Over 500 public companies' filings were impacted by BF Borgers' actions.
