Doctor Ali Vefa #84<br/><br/>Ali is the son of a poor family who grew up in a provincial city. Due to his autism and savant syndrome, he has been constantly excluded and marginalized. Ali has difficulty communicating, and has two friends in his life: His brother and his rabbit. Ali loses both of them and now has only one wish: Saving people. After his brother's death, Ali is disowned by his father and grows up in an orphanage.Dr Adil discovers that Ali has tremendous medical skills due to savant syndrome and takes care of him. However, they soon come across the local legend of the Headless Horseman, and when one of the local girls reports that she has seen it, they realize there are darker deeds going on in their village than they thought!<br/><br/>Starring Will Hay, Moore Marriott, Graham Moffatt, Glennis Lorimer, Peter Gawthorne, Charles Oliver and Herbert Lomas, with early screen appearances by Brian Worth and Cyril Chamberlain in their screen debuts. Indeed, there is some interesting trivia in this film; Glennis Lorimer (playing Moffatt's girlfriend) was also the Gainsborough girl who advertised their films at the opening credits, while the part of the headless horseman - and it's not revealing the crook in this, as this actor was playing the stunt double - was doubled by none other than Desmond Llewellyn, or Q in the Bond films from 1963 to 1998. This was a personal Will Hay favourite of mine as a kid, and it's still a rich satire on the constabulary that holds firm even now. Please note, this is from an old video recording, so this will likely have a couple of glitches at the beginning, but that is because the tape is old. Apologies in advance.")
