Redwood is set to premiere at San Diego's La Jolla Playhouse in February 2025 before transferring to Broadway. Written and directed by Tina Landau, the musical will follow the story of a wife and mother on a journey of grief and how it leads her to find peace in the woods of Northern California. This will be Menzel's first Broadway appearance since she starred in If/Then from 2014 to 2015. Specific Broadway dates and further casting have yet to be announced. Disney finds their live-action Moana in 17-year-old newcomer Catherine Laga'aia. Laga'aia will star alongside Dwayne Johnson, who will reprise his role as Maui, in the live action version of the 2016 film. Other casting includes John Tui and Frankie Adams as Moana's parents, and Rena Owen as Moana's grandmother. Fans can expect a theatrical release for the film in July of 2026. I went to both and filmed at each event. <br/><br/>The Trinidad & Tobago Defence Steel Orchestra and Drums is the official army band of the countries of Trinidad and Tobago, islands in the carribean. The band's instruments are known as pans, made of old oil barrels. To create the pans, the upper part of an oil barrel gets chopped off and then is hammered to create indented areas of different sizes. It's a unique instrument as it's one of the few that creates different sounds within one area of play. The pan is known widely for being the nation's national instrument. <br/><br/>The Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force is the military organisation responsbile for the defense of the twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. It consists of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment, the Coast Guard, the Air Guard and the Defence Force Reserves. <br/>The Regiment provides the majority of the musicians assigned to the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force Steel Orchestra which is the world's first and only military steel band. The TTR is structured like a light infantry brigade with a pair of infantry battalions, plus engineering and logistic support units.")
