The music featured are new derivate musical compositions of many well known tunes where permission was obtained to film and record the event by the Tattoo marketing team.<br/><br/>Music featured includes Bonnie Lass of Fyvie, Auld Lang Syne, The Last Post, Lone Piper, Scotland the Brave and We're No Awa Tae Bide Awa.<br/><br/>▬Cast & Crew▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ <br/><br/>Videographer – A Taylor<br/><br/>Special thanks to Alan Smith, Edinburgh Tattoo Marketing Manager<br/><br/>▬Equipment Used ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬<br/><br/>Video Shot using Hi8 Camcorder<br/><br/>The Band of The Royal Regiment of Scotland has performed at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo since it's formation in 2006 and although the band is new it inherits a tradition which goes back to the days when Clan Chieftains employed Seannachues to record their triumphs in music and song.<br/><br/>The band was formed to take on the traditional roles of the Bands of the Scottish Infantry Regiments where it's members support all State and ceremonial occasions that occur in Scotland including Garden Parties, State Banquets and Guards of Honour at Holyrood Palace, Edinburgh and Stirling Castles and Balmoral.<br/><br/>The band has established itself as a leader within the world of military music with excellent diversity and is in constant demand for their participation at Festivals including those in Malaysia, Switzerland, China, Italy and Bermuda. As trained soldiers the band is also called upon in times of crisis to support the Army Medical Services.<br/><br/>Along with The Rifles, The Royal Regiment of Scotland is also one of only two line infantry regiments to maintain its own regular military band within the Corps of Army Music, which was formed through the amalgamation of the Highland band and Lowland band of the Scottish Division.")

The bands usually form a special formation marking each year's show and theme and usually the music featured includes a mix of different paced music. In recent years the Massed Highland Dancers have joined the Pipes and Drums performance and many of the bands provide musical support to individual acts particularly accompanying the Highland Dancers but also when appropriate for other acts. For example the Cape Town Highlanders performed alongside the South Africa Navy Band in 2004 and The Black Watch were given a special march on during the 2003 performance.<br/><br/>The Massed Pipes and Drums also feature heavily during the combined Massed Bands and Pipes finale with lone piper performing at the end of the show.")
