Description: The first honey harvest from a colony that began in 2014 in Columbia, Maryland, USA. One million, five-hundred thousand. That's the number of flower visits that were required for the honeybees to produce each 12 ounce / 340 gram jar of honey seen in this video. That's 125,000 flower visits for each ounce, 4400 visits per gram. Even more remarkably, the bees flew a combined total of more than 41,000 miles / 66,000 km to visit those flowers!
