Prepare to jump into “Gun It”, the new co-op game of fast vehicular action. <br/><br/>Spot a threat to the right and toss over the shotgun. Slip the car out of the way of that truck before it explodes. Demand the pistol from the driver, to deal with a motorcycle catching up fast. There will be shouting, hectic equipment exchanges, and of course, collateral damage.<br/><br/>'Gun It' is a timed cooperative programming game for 1-4 players, that plays in 15-30 minutes. Players are together in a car in the middle of a firefight against the Inertia Corporation, and must come up with a plan for how to successfully eliminate threats without destroying themselves. Using a simple core mechanic, players exchange cards determining actions, and when time is up, they unleash their plan on the hostile vehicles all around. Hopefully nothing went wrong!<br/><br/>The crew car tile is placed on the table, and players choose a driver. Rotate the car so the driver is correctly seated at the front-left of the car. Each player receives a player aid according to their position in the car. Their seat at the table is their position in the car!<br/><br/>Deal out the 12 basic action cards: 4 equipment (steering wheel, shotgun, pistol, uzi), 4 directional arrows, and 4 turn order cards. Each player holds just three cards: 1 turn order, 1 direction, and 1 equipment.<br/>Rounds<br/><br/>The game is played over a series of rounds, the number of which is determined by the current game scenario.<br/><br/>Phase 1 - Lookout - Fill the 8 grid spaces around the crew car with vehicles, mostly sent from the Inertia Corporation.<br/><br/>Draw settings and moments that impact the rules for the round.<br/><br/>Phase 2 - Planning - For two minutes, exchange action cards, heeding any moments or settings. Players may exchange any and all cards amongst each other, the only constraint is that the steering wheel has to stay in the front seat. Try to come up with the best plan. Once time runs out, action cards are locked.<br/><br/>Phase 3 - Action! - In order, each crew member acts on the scene around the crew car, according to the cards they hold. Vehicles are wrecked when receiving damage equal to their health. They then explode in any number of directions, as determined by their collateral damage arrows.<br/><br/>Earn points by creating wreckage pileups and openings around the car’s final position.<br/><br/>Phase 4 - Aftermath - At the end of each round, all vehicles collapse inward on the crew car's position. Next round more get added to empty spaces around the crew car, and the cycle begins anew.<br/>Victory")

Defenders.<br/>There will be an XFL Championship game rematch this Saturday in Arlington, TX as the Arlington Renegades take on the D.C. Defenders.<br/><br/>The last time these two teams faced off, it was in San Antonio with the XFL championship on the line. Renegades won convincingly 35-26 to win their first championship in franchise history. I’m sure a win for the Defenders won’t make up for the loss in the championship last season, but it could go a long way in trying to get back to that point in 2024. The Defenders look to stay in the top two of the XFL Conference standings which would lock them in for a playoff spot come June.<br/><br/>As for the Renegades, they are looking for their first win of the season and there’s no better opponent to do it against than the D.C. Defenders. Renegades QB Luis Perez is still confident in the offense despite the slow start as a team, alluding to the lack of attention to detail on occasion not being what it’s supposed to be. He says they’re “close” to executing the way they need to offensively in order to be successful, stating “three to five plays change every single game.” This will be the 5th time Perez himself is playing against the Defenders since the start of the 2023 XFL season.<br/><br/>While Perez was a member of the Vegas Vipers, he played the Defenders twice, losing both games. Then, once he was traded to the Renegades, he played against the Defenders twice, going 1-1, winning the game that mattered the most. So, the familiarity factor might have a role in this game for Luis Perez. When asked about the upcoming rematch, Perez gave the Defenders their praise, having faced them a few times already. However he’s confident in this week’s preparation, stating, “I really feel good with our game plan against them this year.<br/><br/>Kickoff vs the Defenders is set for 12pm CT at Choctaw Stadium.
