_tenby-sharks-get-ready-to-host-a-bank-holiday-boxing-extravaganza-the-first-of-its-kind-for-pembrokeshire.webp "A Bank Holiday boxing extravaganza - the first of its kind for Pembrokeshire is promised this May - as Tenby Sharks get to showcase the sport once again at the seaside town.<br/>The event held at Tenby Leisure Centre on Saturday, May 4 will feature a daytime afternoon of fun, learning and excitement for all the family; before the big fight night at the venue later that evening.<br/>“With the very first boxing festival of its kind here in West Wales We are hoping people come across and get involved,” said Tenby Sharks Boxing Club head coach Mark Davies.<br/>“This is a family friendly event, and the best part is that entry is free to the daytime festival! If you or your kids have any interest in boxing this is for you...no experience necessary.”<br/>The daytime festival which runs between 11am and 3pm is designed to showcase amateur boxing to the local community by encouraging people to attend and partake in a variety of fun and engaging masterclass seminars, fitness activities and sparring exhibitions.<br/>The event will also feature retail pop ups, a DJ set, along with the attendance of VIP guests, including award-winning boxing coach from Cardiff Tony Borg who enjoyed a successful amateur career that saw him fight and win in over one hundred bouts. <br/>Over 25 years later he is now a highly-respected coach with a stable-full of Welsh Champions at Newport ABC, including former IBF World Champion Lee Selby who will also be at the event.<br/>“Tony will be in attendance with professional boxers from his club to showcase a masterclass in training methods at the highest level. _mum-makes-10k-a-year-hand-crafting-earrings-and-bracelets-out-of-beer-cans.webp "A mum makes more than £10k-a-year hand-crafting earrings and bracelets out of - beer cans.<br/><br/>Carys Miles, 40, launched her unique business, Craft Beerings, five years ago after finishing a can of craft beer.<br/><br/>Fascinated by the quirky and colourful designs of the cans and desperate for a creative venture, Carys got to work.<br/><br/>She decided to carefully cut and flatten the vibrant cans before cutting them into different shapes - such as studs, hearts and lightning bolts.<br/><br/>The raw material is then dried out before being applied to earring mounts - with Carys able to make five pairs of earrings from one can.<br/><br/>Though she usually batch-makes the earrings, Carys says she can convert a can to a pair in just 30 minutes.<br/><br/>She doesn't add any gloss to the final earrings, with some pairs featuring shiny overlays whilst others are more papery, representing the true texture of the can.<br/><br/>Carys made over 960 pairs of the earrings last year and sells them online and at craft fairs for between £10 - £17.50.<br/><br/>Carys, who runs the business full-time , from Colchester, Essex, said: \")
