Jansen remained unbeaten at 21* runs off 14 balls. Meanwhile, Roston Chase struck thrice for West Indies. Rain stopped play after two overs of the run-chase with South Africa at 15/2. The match resumed at 9:15 AM IST, with three overs cut off and the revised DLS target was set at 123. Before rain stopped play, Andre Russell struck twice in the second over, to remove Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks. Initially, SA captain Aiden Markram won the toss and opted to bowl. Roston Chase top-scored for the co-hosts, smacking 52 runs off 42 balls, in what was apoor batting show by West Indies. Meanwhile, Tabraiz Shamsi struck thrice for SA, Kagiso Rabada, Keshav Maharaj, Markram and Marco Jansen took a wicket each.
