CAR ENTHUSIAST Corey Jones is back with his biggest build yet – a 2017 Dodge Challenger with a giant set of 34-inch wheels. Over the course of eight months, Corey worked tirelessly to finish his masterpiece that boasts a metallic blue exterior and multi-coloured LED lighting. A custom ‘peanut butter’ interior helps to take some of the shine off the colossal rims that Corey has personalised with his logo ‘CJ_ON_32S’. Corey, who resides in Illinois, has managed Crusader Customs for more than 10 years, building a variety of ‘crazy’ vehicles that he shows off on his successful YouTube channel. But a ride with 34” rims is something even he has never achieved before.

Davey Hamilton, from Indianapolis, was struggling to find the truck of his dreams. But having been inspired by his friend in Maine, another former driver who owned a truck, Davey decided to take things one step further. But to build his backwards truck, Davey had to first find a truck with a big back window that could act as a windscreen. Davey told R.Rides: “A lot of the older trucks have really small back windows; they don’t have the wide ones. I couldn’t find a truck with a big back window. I happened to find this truck three miles from my father’s house and knew I had to get it.” The truck had its original body, frames and pedals. “We had put the lights on obviously, going the wrong direction. I didn't know what to do for bed cover. So, we figured to keep the rustic look.” Davey had to do a lot of work for the truck to work just right. “We had to cut a hole between the bed of the truck and the cab of the truck for your feet to go in. And so that had to be sealed up so there's no water getting inside the truck.” With the seats in and doors on, the truck still had a little to go before making its road debut. The windshield wipers got installed to make it safe, so the truck had everything that’s required to get going. “It looks like it's supposed to go forward. And so, it took some time and to get everything levelled out and make sure that was mounted properly.” And Davey loves his creation for lots of reasons. “Number one, it’s an attention getter. Number two, it's definitely a fan favourite, number three, it was a lot of work. There's new people that see it every time we take it out and it's definitely a crowd getter.”")

They did so to cut the lead to two before converting the 4th and 12 alternate kickoff conversion. The very next play, Renegades CB Duron Lowe had a prime opportunity to seal the deal with an interception but it slipped right thru his hands. Instead, it landed in the hands of Defenders receiver, Kelvin Harmon as he took it to the 26-yard line. From there it was enough for Matt McCrane to hit a 49-yard FG as time expired.<br/><br/>After the game Renegades Coach Bob Stoops pointed out a couple plays that didn’t go their way stating “our execution wasn’t good enough.”<br/><br/>Despite the loss, Renegades QB Luis Perez had a productive day, throwing for 290 yards and two touchdowns. He connected with Tyler Vaughns 9 times for 109 yards and 1 TD. In addition to that, backup QB Lindsey Scott Jr. energized the offense, converting a 3rd down on three different occasions, one including a 13-yard rushing TD. He spoke on the spark plug that he is for the offense stating he, “being that…6th man that comes off the bench and hits the dagger that hurts.”<br/><br/>Penalties were a big factor to the Renegades downfall, as the Renegades committed nine of them for 75 yards.<br/>The Renegades now sit at 0-3 as they head back to the drawing board.
