Robberies, assaults and gangster hijinks - that's just part of what Crime Simulator, the new game from the makers of the bestselling Thief Simulator 2, has to offer. Crime Simulator will allow both to make a criminal career alone, as well as joint actions in co-op mode (up to 4 criminals). The PC release of the game can be expected in 2024/2025, with PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo console versions also planned. A free prologue of the game is available now on PC.<br/><br/>The Polish studio CookieDev, best known for the bestselling Thief Simulator 2, is working on Crime Simulator. Ultimate Games S.A. will be the publisher of the game on PC and consoles.<br/><br/>Crime Simulator is a unique simulator of criminal underworld activities with a first-person perspective (FPS) view. The game offers single-player and online co-op modes for up to 4 people at a time. The gameplay broadly depicts criminal life, also relying on elements known from other game genres.<br/><br/>A criminal career includes in Crime Simulator not only carrying out bandit jobs (such as theft and debt recovery) and fighting, but also, among other things, collecting raw materials, developing characters, upgrading equipment or gaining the right reputation among the factions present in the game.<br/><br/>As of May 10th 2024, a free demo of the game is now available on Steam. In Crime Simulator: Prologue, players will find one smaller settlement with a construction zone and an abandoned farm that serves as a hideout for gangsters. The full version of the game will feature three larger settlements, desert areas on the outskirts of Mexico, national park areas in Canada and several additional locations, among others. The CookieDev team is also working on a whole lot of additional content.<br/><br/>In Crime Simulator, many tools await players to use in criminal actions. For investigating officer Dev (Akshaye), both are suspects till he unearths the truth and finds Vikram’s motive behind killing Shekhar. Both Sidharth and Maya’s versions of the night when it all happened are believable, leaving you confused about who the real killer is. Are they really innocent or is one of them lying? Could there be a third person who’s actually committed the crime? Does the police truly want to nab the killer or just close this high profile case ASAP? He’s a party animal who loves his freedom but is also crossing the age of 40. He meets a girl, Tia (Alaya F) in the club, brings her home, tries to get steamy with her until she drops the “you might be my father” bomb on him.<br/>She statically explains to him how there’s a 33.33% chance that he’s her father. He’s not ready to sacrifice his freedom for her. The rest of the story is all about how Tia tries to stay close to Jazz and hope she gets her family together. On the other hand, we’ve Jazz who’s stuck in closing the deal & how it interconnects with Tia.<br/>Apart from attention-absorbing script, it’s Saif Ali Khan’s presence that keeps you hooked. After your done being envious of how cool he looks, you’ll start laughing with him on his lame jokes. The script makes its way through comedy & drama balancing both of them equally. It’s an easy to watch, easy to recommend dramedy which is laced by some good performances.<br/><br/>There were times when the adult in me screamed for why the makers didn’t take a complete ‘A’ certificate route and made this into an A-rated affair. But then, the target audience. The pace dips in the second half when the drama takes over the driving seat. Jawaani Jaaneman holds an edge over Ajay Devgn’s De De Pyaar De which kind-of had a similar genre.<br/><br/>Saif Ali Khan, without a single iota of doubt, is the best ageing Khan of Bollywood. There could’ve been no better actor than him to portray Jazz and he breathes in a whole of swag to the character. A tailor-made role for Saif flawlessly performed & intriguingly written.<br/><br/>")
