And parts of the film sink into sitcom flatness, especially when Sikri overdoes her grumpy 'saas' act, though some of her lines are laugh-out-loud.<br/>Ayushmann Khurrana is now well-versed with the art of being humiliated. If it's set in Delhi like Vicky Donor, then he's even more at ease. But in Badhaai Ho in which he plays the eldest son, Nakul, who avoids public eye after he learns that his mother is expecting, Khurrana doesn't deliver the best embarrassed performance. That honour goes to Gajraj Rao as the caring husband to Priyamvada aka Bubbly (Neena Gupta) who has to break the news.<br/><br/>Rao, best known for being a regular on The Viral Fever sketches, never misses a beat as Jeetu Kaushik, the patriarch who finds himself negotiating the wrath of not only his mother (Surekha Sikri in badass mode) and his two sons but also the glares and gossip of relatives and neighbours.<br/><br/>Badhaai Ho works best when writer Akshat Ghildial sticks to capturing the myriad reactions - shock, amusement, anger and scorn - to an unplanned pregnancy in a couple least likely to. It's in the first half while capturing the minutiae of middle class life in the Kaushik household that the family comedy registers its finest moments.<br/><br/>")

The film was concluded by a sequel, Tragic Hero which was also released in 1987. The film is also known as Black Vengeance.<br/><br/>Lam Ting Kwok (Andy) and Tang Kar Yung (Alex) are two brothers who stick through the thick and thin. While Yung is not biologically Kwok's brother, Kwok's father adopted him long ago when he became an orphan. The two get along well at a young age and develop a powerful bond. The film than fast forwards to the 1960's when the brothers have grown up a bit. Yung is always being a troublemaker and gets in to deep trouble when he lands himself with major gambling debt. When Yung and Kwok try to pay off the gambling debt by stealing money from a gang boss named Boss Chu (柯俊雄 Ko Chun-hsiung), they land themselves in even more trouble. Eventually, Boss Chu and his men get their hands on Kwok. Yung and his sister Wong Wai-chiu (王小鳳 Pauline Wong Siu-fung) than have to beg for the help of none other than Brother Chai (Chow Yun Fat), one of the heads of the Chinese Triads.<br/><br/>Brother Chai has no need to help them. However, he feels bad for the siblings and knows that it is the right thing to do. He also wants to show Boss Chu that he shouldn't be so brutal and hard on people. With Kwok's release, Yung and Kwok become indentured workers to Brother Chai. While many stories and characters branch off from these events, two main stories drive the rest of the film.<br/><br/>1. The slow dissipation of the relationship between Kwok and Yung.<br/><br/>2. The rising tension between Boss Chu and Brother Chai.")

Allen has been doing stand-up for decades, so a foul mouth is to be expected, but according to Dunham, this also includes a rather “dark” sense of humor.<br/><br/>I caught up with Jeff Dunham to discuss his Valentine’s Day special, Jeff Dunham: I’m With Cupid. While discussing his various television appearances, which included a guest spot on Last Man Standing, Dunham told me this story that properly exemplifies his friend Tim Allen’s way of “testing” folks.")
