He passed away on Tuesday following a battle with cancer. Electric Light Orchestra keyboardist Richard Tandy dies at 76. With a career spanning over 50 years, Tandy made a remarkable impact on creating the band's iconic synth sound. His passing was revealed by Lynne on social media, writing 'He was a remarkable musician & friend and I'll cherish the lifetime of memories we had together.'
