There’s no shortage of the best Kurt Russell movies, with some of the best entries on that list including Escape from New York, Big Trouble in Little China and Tombstone. And then there’s 1982’s The Thing, the John Carpenter-helmed adaptation of John W. Campbell’s Who Goes There? that saw Russell’s R.J. Macready and his cohorts dealing with a shapeshifting alien in Antarctica. More than 40 years after that flick’s release, and while speaking with CinemaBlend, Russell dug into how one of the action sequences in his new show Monarch: Legacy of Monsters reminded him of The Thing.<br/><br/>Russell was one of the first actors to be added to the Monarch: Legacy of Monsters cast, with Apple TV+ subscribers watching him place Lee Shaw in the 2015 storyline, while his son Wyatt plays Lee during the 1950s. Episodes 3 and 4, titled “Secrets and Lies” and “Parallels and Interiors,” saw Lee and his new, young friends in Alaska fleeing from the Frost Vark, which was the “most challenging” Titan to design for the show.

He’s never tried to jump out - he's gotten so used to riding now he rides partially with his front paws on my back rest to see over my shoulder. <br/><br/>“He’s a good rider, he knows how to shift his weight and he’s pretty amazing.” <br/><br/>Joe, wife Penny, 60, and their two daughters adopted Oreo from the local humane society after Joe provided volunteer welding services.<br/><br/>Abbey, 18 and sister Erin, 21, chose the pup – who they believe is a black Lab and weiner dog mix – and Joe says he had his doubts initially. <br/><br/>But Oreo quickly won him round and now the pair are inseparable.<br/><br/>Battery technician Joe bought his Harley Road King brand new in 2003 for £20k and says he’s owned bikes since he was 12. <br/><br/>Joe and Oreo ride from spring to autumn – with Joe saying they’re on the bike “full time”. <br/><br/>“Every time I take him out, I’m surprised it hasn’t caused a car crash, people are so distracted,” said Joe. <br/><br/>“He just wants to do anything I'm doing. With a starting price tag of over $1M, the monster-sized vehicle can even come provided with an optional bullet proof exterior. Intentionally designed asymmetrical, the sport utility vehicle has what the creator calls the ‘diamond design’. Designer Luciano D’Ambrosio says inspiration was drawn from the Batmobile that featured in The Dark Knight trilogy. Luciano told R.Rides: “When you’re in this business for so many years you think, how about being a little different, especially exaggerated. The maverick designer threw the engineering manual out when envisioning the look for the Karlmann King. Multiple protruding surfaces making up its idiosyncratic look - the car is a spectacle to look at when it’s on the road. He said: “Going opposite to what the design rules would usually ask you for, it’s called the diamond design.” Although the car has been designed to be domineering and big, Luciano is quick to point out the car shouldn’t be seen as too aggressive. The construction of the car is comprised of a shell built and overlapped a Ford F550 chassis, but its unique design doesn’t stop there. For the more discerning customer the car is almost fully customisable. Under the bonnet the car boasts a Ford 6.7l V10 engine giving off 420 horsepower and, despite its mammoth shape, provides a smooth drive on the roads. The top speed of the vehicle is 220 km/h. Luciano said: “Given the size of the car you can imagine you’re driving an elephant but it’s a very flexible and nice drive.” Although its starting price begins at a cool $1,085,000, for a more bespoke design and with its customisable extras the vehicle can cost up to $3,800,000. “My most favourite thing is the way people look at the car, it doesn’t go unseen,’ said Luciano.")
