Description:
Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Wise Woman (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. It was signed by the RNLI President, HRH Duke of Kent, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Dean of Westminster and leading RNLI representatives.<br/>On this scroll is the RNLI’s One Crew pledge, in which the RNLI’s promise the commitment to saving every one we can, without judgment – staying true to Sir William Hillary’s vision when he founded the charity in 1824.<br/><br/>The Farnham, Haslemere & Godalming branches of the RNLI are all continuing to raise money for the organisation through various means such as abseiling Guildford cathedral.<br/>The Chairman of the Farnham & District Branch is Nigel Cuthbert who will be invited to sign the Pledge. As part of the 200 year celebrations the Branch is organising a quiz<br/>night on the 20th April and an afternoon Bridge session in August.<br/>Local branches are holding events during the year to celebrate the anniversary with Godalming holding a sponsored abseil down Guildford Cathedral on June 15th, Haslemere holding an open garden on the 9th June. The local branches at Alton and Petersfield are also having celebratory events.")
