Superintendent Richard Jury of Scotland Yard is called in to investigate the murder of a young woman at THE BLACK CAT, a pub the London suburb of Chesham. Dressed from hell to dead toe in expensive designer clothes, no one can identify the body, nor figure out why she’s been murdered outside this small pub in this small village when she appears to be going out on the town.
