It’s all down to this line, a mere stroke on paper. And yet it marks a a new beginning. The coupé-like roofline of the Macan and the striking rear—with its shape so typical of Porsche—evoke the tight, unmistakable flyline of the 911. But this time, it’s not just a reminder of the Porsche icon. Rather, the shape, including the rear spoiler, is a groundbreaking innovation in the all-electric SUV segment. “The active aerodynamic elements all contribute significantly to the range,” says aerodynamics specialist Thomas Wiegand. “We have a rear spoiler that raises automatically, active cooling flaps at the front air intakes, and flexible covers on the underbody.” Located in the same building as the Style Porsche design department, the Weissach wind tunnel gives form and shape to the streamlining of the newly developed Macan. It’s the first Porsche based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) created in collaboration with Audi. This platform not only benefits from development synergies, but is also highly flexible, enabling Porsche to implement its own technical and brand-specific objectives. Full electrification of the popular model line is an important milestone on the path to ensuring that more than 80 percent of the new cars are fully electrified in 2030—depending on the demand of customers and the development of electromobility in the respective regions of the world.

The vehicle remains stable on sideways slopes of up to 35 degrees. With a maximum fording depth of 850 millimetres, the electric G‑Class outperforms its conventionally powered counterparts by 150 millimetres. The LOW RANGE off-road gearing increases propulsion with a special reduction ratio. The all-new model generates the function of conventional differential locks virtually using intelligent torque vectoring. G-ROAR brings a unique sound experience to the all-new electric G-Class. In addition to a characteristic, G-Class-specific driving sound, it includes one “aura” sound and a variety of “event” sounds.")

_one-of-the-exhibitions-at-92.webp "UCA Farnham hosted their inaugural “We Create Festival” around Farnham on Wednesday, 8 May. <br/>Students were tasked with creating exhibitions covering a range of subjects from politics and social to internal emotions and communications. Each exhibition covered a theme of Identity including themes such as The Everyday, Virtual Worlds, Dialogue, The Senses and Ecologies. <br/>The students also had to liaise with businesses and create social media pages for the exhibitions in the hopes to raise money for the exhibition with all extra funds being donated to charity.<br/>All the exhibitions were created by second year BA Fine Art, Photography and Digital Art students at UCA Farnham.<br/>The six locations for the festival were scattered across town and included the Evelyn Borelli Garden of Rest, The Hop Blossom, Birdies Cafe and Farnham Park, Oxfam Bookshop, The Spire Church and The Maltings. <br/>The Malting exhibition “Labour Pains” were also paid a visit by the Farnham Town Mayor.")
