_survey-reveals-how-female-small-business-owners-measure-success.webp "One in four female small business owners has taken a pay cut in the past year, according to new research.<br/><br/>The survey of 1,000 female small business owners examined how their experience has shifted in the past year and found that the down economy has forced a quarter of these business owners to cut their own pay to keep their businesses afloat.<br/><br/>For those small businesses that have been open for at least a year, many have also raised the price of their product or service (37%), and more than a quarter are actively seeking less expensive resources (27%).<br/><br/>Conducted by Talker Research for Office Depot, the survey found that 53% of female business owners said the past year has been the hardest for their business.<br/><br/>In 2023, respondents expressed challenges with funding (42%) and growing their business (30%), which continue to be the top struggles this year (39% and 30% respectively).<br/><br/>Experiencing fatigue was more of a pain point last year (23%), while marketing is proving to be a greater challenge this year (25%).<br/><br/>However, hard work has paid off for many female small business owners this year, allowing them to reach their 2023 goals: growing profit (goal of 59%, achieved by 26%), gaining more customers (goal of 53%, achieved by 41%) and expanding their business (goal of 28%, achieved by 12%).<br/><br/>And to keep the momentum going, respondents predict they’ll continue to uplevel and succeed through continued revenue growth (63%), gaining more customers (54%) and business expansion (27%). <br/><br/>But success is also about a lot more than dollars and cents. Twenty-one percent of respondents said success is all about making a positive impact in their community and a fifth (21%) included innovation as a success marker.<br/><br/>And while the next year looks to be more positive for female small business owners, there will still be challenges to overcome, with inflation (39%) and funding (25%) serving as the top concerns.<br/><br/>To overcome these challenges, female SBOs are throwing themselves into their work more often — but how much is too much?<br/><br/>Work-life balance improvements have slowed by 15% since last year, as only this year, 58% said their work-life balance has improved since becoming a business owner, compared to 73% who said the same last year.<br/><br/>Women surveyed feel they need to choose between their family and their profession multiple times every month, while one in eight feel this way every week.<br/><br/>And overall, 42% said being a business owner has made it more difficult to balance their outside work responsibilities.<br/><br/>To better balance their work and family life, those surveyed are committed to “cutting back on working hours,” “taking time for quiet reflection” and “being willing to take a day off as necessary.”<br/><br/>For respondents who set up their business in the last year, top reasons include wanting to be one’s own boss (59%), deciding to pursue a passion or hobby (46%) and drive to put an idea into action (41%).")

Only the four World Title contests have been officially announced at this point, but WWE is also being pretty obvious with some of the other puzzle pieces including Jimmy And Jey Uso, Awesome Truth and Judgment Day, AJ Styles and LA Knight and Logan Paul, Randy Orton and maybe KO. Gunther will also obviously get a prime spot on the card and will defend The Intercontinental Championship, though his opponent is less clear, and it’s been heavily rumored and hinted at on screen that we’re going to get Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes vs The Rock and Roman Reigns in a tag match.<br/><br/>Altogether, it’s shaping up to be one of the most stacked and exciting cards in WrestleMania history, but it’s also presenting a really obvious numbers problem for WWE. If you only count the matches I referenced above, that’s 10 slots that are pretty close to locked in for ‘Mania. Last year, if you don’t count The Miz’s two unannounced comedy fights, there were 13 matches on the card. PJ Washington Jr. led the Mavs with 27 points, six rebounds, and two assists. <br/><br/>The Mavs came out strong in the beginning of the first quarter and were led by PJ Washignton Jr.. Washington Jr. scored the first two points for Dallas with a slam dunk over Holmgren. That really woke up AAC and got them into the game early. Washington proceeded to score 11 of the Mav’s first 22 points. He led Dallas at the half with 19 points. <br/><br/>Both teams weren’t shooting well from downtown but OKC won that battle in the first half. The reason Dallas stayed within reach in the first half was their ability to crash the boards. They led in rebounds out rebounding OKC 26-16 and giving up 0 offensive boards to the Thunder. <br/><br/>Luka Doncic struggled shooting in the first half. He shot 4-of-12 and 1-of-4 from three. He had 14 points going into the locker room. Doncic was questionable for game three due to his knees. He decided to play but struggled getting his rhythm down on Saturday. <br/><br/>OKC came out of the half and took their largest lead of the night 65-55. The Mavs rallied after taking a timeout and ended up crawling back on top by five. The difference in the third quarter was second chance opportunities. Dallas continued to crash the boards, giving Dallas multiple second and third chance opportunities and the points started to add up. Entering the fourth quarter the Mavs had out rebounded OKC 40-25 taking a four point lead. Washington had 27 points entering the fourth. <br/><br/>Mavs continued their physicality the entire fourth quarter and it ended up putting them in the win category. Dallas out rebounded 48-40 and crashed the boards hard all night, which was a huge reason why they came out on top. <br/><br/>“I think whoever wins the rebounding game is going to win these games.” Washington Jr. stated after the game. <br/><br/>Washington Jr. led for Dallas on Saturday with 27 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. <br/><br/>“I’m just trying to make the dreams come true. I’m trying to make the most of every single second and be the best I can be for my team.” Washington Jr. stated he is grateful for his teammates for believing in him and showing him the looks. <br/><br/>Doncic stated after the game that Washington had an amazing game, “Amazing. Shooting with confidence and we believe in him.” Doncic stated. <br/><br/>The Mavs will have a day of rest before gearing up for game four on Monday night. <br/><br/>Game four will be held in Dallas at American Airlines Center on Monday night at 8:30 CST.<br/><br/>")
