Final part of the Ruth Rendell mystery from 1995. As Alice continues to investigate her best friend Nesta's sudden disappearance, she begins to fall ill. She becomes suspicious of people, including that of her new husband Andrew, who was against her investigating from the start. And then she discovers the typewriter used to type Nesta's apparent letters to her...<br/><br/>Starring Eleanor David, Peter Egan, Leslie Phillips, Mark Frankel, Rebecca Lacey, Melanie Kilburn, Leonard Preston and Ann Jameson. This was one of a number of mysteries and thriller under The Ruth Rendell Mysteries banner in the mid 1990's, and compared to many during that period, this stands as one of the better offerings. This is the only one I have from that series, but I do have most of the Inspector Wexford mysteries from various video tapes that I will try to upload over the coming months.

As the days pass, Alice becomes more and more concerned with Nesta's disappearance and decides to investigate herself...<br/><br/>Starring Eleanor David, Jane Gurnett, Peter Egan, Mark Frankel, Leslie Phillips, Rebecca Lacey, Melanie Kilburn, Damian Hunt, William Holmes, Arthur White, Joanna Kanska and Leonard Preston among the cast. This was originally broadcast on March 2th 1995, and was part of The Ruth Rendell Mysteries cannon in the mid 1990's. Although many of those mysteries varied greatly in quality, this was one of the best of the offerings. It was also one of the last things Mark Frankel (playing Andrew Fielding) did before his untimely death in a motorbike crash in 1996, aged just 34.")
