Not sure how to focus yet, but auto recording is working. The raw QuickTime, H264 is 192Mb and my MacBookPro is not capable of playing it real time. Only 18fps, instead of 30 fps; playback is very choppy. Overall the image quality with default settings is very impressive.

I remuxed the .mov file (with h.264 video stream and 44.1K PCM audio stream) to a .mkv container. The benefit of using the mkv container is tremendous. Although most users won't notice too much difference with this SD clip, it IS obvious when you remux a 720p/1080p clip. The playback on PC is more smooth and natural when using the mkv container instead of the default mov container which canon has chosen for the SX10, SX1 and 5D M")
