Description: The 17th Century poet Abdul Qadir Bedil is considered one of the greatest and most difficult Persian poets of India. Bedil (1642–1720) lived and died in Delhi. His poetry also had Dari language elements that led to his popularity not only in Iran but also in Afghanistan and some Central Asian states. This Persian ghazal is one of Bedil's trademark poems.
