Maya Veliz, a senior at Blue Ridge High School in northeast Texas, was officially announced as the school’s top student in March. But her triumph was short-lived when she learned mere weeks from graduation that an error involving transfer credits from another school had dropped her GPA ranking to third in the class.<br/><br/>“It had been, like, the one goal I set myself for the beginning of my freshman year, was, I can do this,” the crestfallen teen told WFAA.<br/>
