The Shenandoah County School Board in Virginia voted to restore the Confederate names of two schools - Stonewall Jackson High School and Ashby Lee Elementary School. The names were removed in 2020 after the board voted to condemn racism and affirm its commitment to an inclusive environment. The incident took place on May 13 after the financial capital of the country witnessed heavy rain and dust storms. The 100-foot-tall illegal billboard fell at Chheda Nagar-based petrol pump amid heavy rain and dust storms. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) conducted overnight rescue operation for people trapped under the hoarding. The huge hoarding was erected by Ego Media. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued a notice to the media agency, asking it to immediately remove the remaining three hoardings.
