The Dallas Mavericks knock off the Los Angeles Clippers 114-101 to move to the semi-finals against the Oklahoma City Thunder. <br/><br/>The first quarter the Mavs took no time getting in the groove of things. The last game against the Clippers in American Airlines Center Dallas took forever to get in the game and ended up getting down 31 points, they eventually came back but they had to beat a 31 point deficit. On Friday night they came ready to play immediately. Luke Doncic had 14 points in the first quarter aiding Dallas in a 34-26 point lead entering the second quarter. <br/><br/>Dallas held their own and kept their lead until three minutes left in the half. They started to play sloppy and gave up the lead letting the Clippers take a two point lead. Both teams ended up tied at the half 52-52. The Clippers held Doncic to just one point in the second quarter. <br/><br/>Mavs shot 39 percent from the floor, 25 percent from the three-point line, and 68 percent from the free-throw line. <br/><br/>Dallas outscored the Clippers 35-20 in the third quarter to take a 87-72 lead into the fourth quarter. Donic had 25 points, Kyrie Irving had 15 points, Gafford had 13 points. The offense was very well rounded which helped them take a 15 point lead into the fourth. <br/><br/>Mavs continued to rally in the fourth and took a 22 point lead with six minutes left in the game. Irving continued to cook and the players continued to capitalize on both ends of the floor to take the win. <br/><br/>Kyrie Irving led the Mavs with 30 points, Doncic added 28 points, and PJ Washington added 14 points. <br/><br/>Dallas will move on to the semi-finals and will head to Oklahoma to take on the Thunder. Game one will be on Tuesday night.

Though, Caitlin Clark put up 21 points in her WNBA debut, it did not knock Ogunbowale off her game, hitting the game-winning three-pointer to clinch the win. <br/><br/>Jaelyn Brown who got things going on the defensive end, led the Wings with 21 points, five rebounds, and one assist. Head coach Latricia Trammell said postgame that Brown’s performance was no surprise, saying she knew that when Jaelyn came in she would be an X-factor on this Dallas squad. <br/><br/>“Jaelyn has really stood out in practice, not only by the staff and I, but as well as her teammates,” said Trammell. “I knew what she was capable of and what I love about it is before she came, I told everyone that she was going to be that X-factor. And she hasn’t disappointed.”<br/><br/>The Indiana Fever opened the game with a 14-3 run, led by Clark’s three-point shooting. She sank four of eight threes in the first half alone. Dallas found its offensive rhythm towards the end of the quarter, with Brown taking charge of the offensive momentum.<br/><br/>Dallas secured its first lead with, rookie Jacy Sheldon’s, three-pointer with 2:08 remaining in the quarter. But the Fever’s fast-paced offense appeared to unsettle Dallas. Indiana went on a 13-7 run. NaLyssa Smith’s two-point shot helped the Fever into halftime, 48-40.<br/><br/>What was hurting Dallas was their ability to shoot from the three, only making 5-of-22 attempts compared to Indiana’s 6-of-14 from deep. But the Wings worked their way back from an eight-point deficit to tie at 62-62 in the opening minutes of the final quarter. <br/><br/>Clark had a shot clock violation in the last 24 seconds, turning the ball over to Dallas with the chance to take the victory. Ogunbowale did not take the opportunity lightly, running down the clock and hitting a crucial three to give Dallas a 79-76 lead with only three seconds left to secure the game. <br/><br/>UP NEXT: The Dallas Wings will remain at College Park Center for their final preseason matchup against the Chicago Sky on Wednesday, May 15th. _top-reasons-americans-avoid-taking-their-car-in.webp "Americans admit to ignoring their “check engine” light for an average of four months before addressing it, according to new research.<br/><br/>A new survey of 2,000 American car owners revealed that one in five (20%) even admit to putting it off between six and 18 months.<br/><br/>This may be because almost one-third (32%) will wait “as long as possible” before bringing their car in to get serviced.<br/><br/>In fact, another 39% are likely to wait for an incident or for something to break before even considering bringing their car in for service.<br/><br/>The research also revealed that 35% regret putting their car care off — resulting in unexpected repair fees (39%), emotional stress (22%) and even a roadside emergency (21%).<br/><br/>And while the average American feels that preventative car care is important (93%), almost half (48%) said they push back getting their car serviced because of financial constraints.<br/><br/>Conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Pep Boys, the data showed that when it comes to car care, Americans are prioritizing some things over others with exterior light issues (11%), window and windshield cracks (9%) and the radio or sound system (3%) ranking at the bottom of the list.<br/><br/>Americans have had their current car for an average of seven years and 93% own their car, compared to leasing it (7%).<br/><br/>Each year, the average respondent spends more than $400 on car maintenance ($438) and estimates that they’ve spent an astounding $6,272 in total servicing their current car over the years.<br/><br/>To get their car serviced, Americans are most likely to go to a dealership (31%) or a local mechanic (27%) and the majority (62%) do so every three to six months.<br/><br/>In relation to their other responsibilities, 38% of respondents said caring for their car is a “very high” priority.<br/><br/>Despite this, 21% feel like their car is going to break down any day now.<br/><br/>When asked what would cause the most stress if repairs were needed, engine trouble (66%), bad brakes (33%) and fuel system issues (31%) ranked as the top three.<br/><br/>In fact, 26% even admit that their car stresses them out more than their finances or even personal relationships (14%).<br/><br/>Despite these worries, only 32% of respondents wished they lived somewhere a car wasn’t necessary, perhaps because the majority (65%) don’t believe that life would be easier without one — an indicator of just how important they are to our lives.<br/><br/>WHAT CAR REPAIRS STRESS OUT AMERICANS THE MOST?<br/>● Engine - 66%<br/>● Brakes - 33%<br/>● Fuel system - 31%<br/>● Exhaust system - 16%<br/>● Tires - 15%<br/>● AC/heat unit - 15%<br/> <br/>Survey methodology:<br/>This random double-opt-in survey of 2,000 American car owners aged 25+ was commissioned by Pep Boys between March 29 and April 8, 2024.
