_hong-kong-day-5-ocean-park.webp "On Day 5, we went to Ocean Park@HKOceanPark. We were very fortunate that we went right after all major holidays, on a Monday when everyone has gone back to work and school. There were not that many people, so we got to take most rides and activities that are available for kids.<br/><br/>Unlike Disneyland which is a little more lenient. Height requirements for most rides in Ocean Park is above 120 cm. Therefore even Zac couldn't get on most rides that are a little more exciting. The only Rollercoaster he manages to go on was Arctic Blast.<br/><br/>From Wan Chai, we went to Ocean Park by taxi. For four people, it makes more sense VS MTR or bus. Distance is just 12 minutes from Wan Chai, through a tunnel in the middle of Hong Kong. <br/><br/>There are quite a good number of rides and activities that are kids friendly in Ocean Park. Make sure you rent a stroller here too. The stroller is quite big and not foldable. In between Old Hong Kong Game Zone and The Waterfront, we started off with Le Petit Prince which is a recent collaboration. It's beautiful. Then we went for a Merry Go Round. After that we took the cable car to Marine World Game Zone. The view from cable car was extremely gorgeous and cold wind was soothing. <br/><br/>Then we walked to Ocean Theatre for Dolphin Show. Near there, there is a Demon Grove, Japanese ghosts inspired area. Shark Mystique is just next door. After that we went to Ferris Wheel. Then grabbed lunch at McDonald's.After lunch, Zac and I went to a zombie shooting game called 180 Lab. Quite interesting and bloody. Then we went to different areas of the park to see animals ie from Rainforest, from Arctic, from Ocean, interesting and relaxing. Zac get to go on Arctic Blast rollercoaster. Abby manage to take the more exciting Hair Raiser and Whirly Bird while I'm taking care of the kids. Check out our Slow Motion video.<br/><br/>Finally, we took the Ocean Express train back to Whiskers Harbor Game Zone, with many activities for kids! Then we proceeded to the Grand Aquarium. The night ended with a spectacular show at the entrance in front of Grand Aquarium. Finally while going back home, we stopped by the Michelin 1 Star for 9 consecutive years Goose Rice called Kam's Roast Goose. _hong-kong-day-4-hong-kong-city.webp "Day 4 was finally our truly free and easy time in Hong Kong, in preparation for Day 5, Ocean Park!!! <br/><br/>On Day 4, we woke up quite late, had a simple and light breakfast at our hotel. Then we went to meet my good friend Deborah Woo ( https://www.instagram.com/modern.wooman ) at Nanhai No. 2 at World Trade Center, a really beautiful dim sum, yum cha, place over looking the sea view of Victoria Harbor. Food was delicious and atmosphere was amazing. Thank you Deborah!<br/><br/>Then Deborah also took us to buy our very much sought after Yuen Long Wife Cakes! After that we returned to our hotel and Abby wanted some personal sight seeing and shopping time, so I took care of the kids while she went out. Auntie Jamie came over to our hotel too. We watched Frozen 2 on Disney Plus then rested a little.<br/><br/>Evening Auntie Jamie walked us to have dinner with Uncle Kazu and her at Lei King Restaurant in Wan Chai. They serve some of the most delicious very local Hong Kong food in the area. We had lots of good food!<br/><br/>Then Jamie took us to the seaside over looking Tsim Sha Tsui. It was a relaxing and beautiful walk.
