The Tourneo Connect Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) will take Tourneo Connect's flexibility and versatility to the next level – enabling customers to electrify their driving experience by driving up to a targeted 110 km using pure-electric power, and drive with zero tailpipe emissions in Europe's growing number of low-emission zones.<br/><br/>The innovative new powertrain in Tourneo Connect PHEV integrates a 1.5-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, high-voltage battery and electric motor to deliver a combined 150 PS and 350 Nm of torque through a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The battery can be fast-charged at up to 50 kW using DC public chargers on long road trips, or fully recharged at home using AC charging up to 11 kW.<br/><br/>Easy-to-understand drive modes make it simple for drivers to optimize how battery power is used:<br/><br/> EV Now: to drive using only the electric motor<br/> EV Auto: balances electric and petrol power to best suit driving conditions<br/> EV Later: to drive using only the petrol engine, saving all the battery energy for use later<br/> EV Reserve: saves a driver-defined level of battery energy for use later<br/><br/>Customers can choose between the five-seat Tourneo Connect PHEV,or the longer seven-seat Grand Tourneo Connect PHEV with a two-seat third row as standard. If that's not enough space, the trunk has a capacity of 2.3 cubic feet (64 liters).<br/><br/>The Q6 e-tron rides on Premium Platform Electric (PPE) and features twelve modules, 180 prismatic cells and a newly developed lithium-ion battery with a gross capacity of 100 kWh. This gives the model a range of up to 388 miles (625 km), although the EPA figure is said to be more than 300 miles (483 km).<br/><br/>In the United States, the Q6 e-tron will produce 422 hp (315 kW / 428 PS) and 456 hp (340 kW / 462 PS) with launch control. When the second system is activated, the crossover will be able to reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in about five seconds. If the driver keeps his feet upright, the model will eventually reach a top speed of 210 km/h (130 mph).<br/><br/>The international version is slightly less impressive at 382 hp (285 kW / 387 PS). This results in a slower 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time of 5.9 seconds, but top speed remains unchanged.<br/><br/>Finally, the SQ6 e-tron has 483 hp (360 kW / 489 PS), but with launch control this value reaches 510 hp (380 kW / 517 PS). Thanks to its extra power, reaching 96 km/h takes approximately 4.2 seconds, while the top speed increases to 230 km/h.<br/><br/>When the battery is low, drivers will appreciate the 270 kW DC fast charging feature. It allows the model to reach a range of 158 miles (255 km) with a ten-minute charge. If you're not in a hurry, the battery can go from 10% to 80% in about 21 minutes.<br/><br/>The Q6 e-tron will be available in the third quarter and prices in Germany start from €74,700.
