The most stressful time of day is 8.15am, according to a study.

A poll, of 2,000 adult, found 35 per cent experience stress during the first part of the day, with the prospect of the working day ahead, struggling to leave the house on time, and oversleeping the most common early morning challenges.

Coping with the school run, looking for lost house keys, and figuring out what to wear are common anxieties too.

As are dealing with the unpredictability of kids’ emotions - in addition to both feeding and dressing them and making packed lunches.

And at a time of the day when every second matters, those polled typically lose 20 minutes and 28 seconds to morning trials and tribulations.

Following the findings, revealed as part of Onken's ‘Feed Your Inner Happiness’ campaign, Paddy McGuinness has shared his tongue-in-cheek time-saving tips [https://onken.co.uk/happiness-hub/].

Pointers include how to get the kids to do housework without them realising, how to stop them bickering, and how to help them with their homework when you’re stuck.

The TV funnyman said: “Follow my foolproof tips and you’ll be ready to tackle life’s curveballs - while still having time for yourself.

“Trust me, in my whirlwind of a schedule, I know just how precious those joy-filled moments can be.”

The study also found 51 per cent adults feel there’s ‘never’ enough time in the day to get things done.

While 51 per cent are ‘often overwhelmed’, with 47 per cent claiming to be busier now than ever before.

This might explain why 35 per cent ‘don’t know’ how to find time to do things which make them happy, and why 37 per cent have ‘forgotten’ how to make time for themselves.

It also emerged those polled aren’t enjoying as many as moments of happiness as they ‘need’.

According to the research, the typical adult ‘needs’ 27 moments of happiness a week - roughly four-a-day.

However, those polled actually get 20 - which is around three a day.

As a result, 57 per cent think they should make more effort to prioritise doing things which make them happy.

These include getting lost in a good book (54 per cent) and tucking into delicious food (48 per cent).

Carried out through OnePoll, the study also found 63 per cent would be interested in tips or advice on how to find more time for fun.

Mathilde van Roon, head of Onken, Emmi UK, added: “Let’s face it, the morning rush can often look like a comedy sketch gone wrong.

“Alongside Paddy, we’re spooning a little joy into your daily dash to feed your inner happiness.”

The ideology of Hindutva, once a dominant force in 'New India', is now facing a critical challenge. This ideology, deeply rooted in the cultural and political landscape of India, has been instrumental in shaping the nation's identity. However, as we approach 2024, questions arise about its relevance and survival. Hindutva, which once signified the 'end of ideology', now appears more exhausted than exhaustive, more authoritarian than authoritative, and more aggressive than authentic. The ideology, which successfully connected to a civilisational sub-conscious and brought a sense of continuity and memory of pride and historical injury together, is now grappling with a faltering economy and reinforced prejudices. The ideology's success was in its ability to match the 'cultural turn' rather than project itself as an exclusive political force. However, it now seems to have hit a dead-end at both ends of the spectrum. Its economic programme is not providing the promised mobility, and its cultural agenda is coming across as commonality without solidarity. As we move closer to the general elections of 2024, the future of Hindutva hangs in the balance. Will it survive? Will it reinvent itself? Or will it become more civil in India and paradoxically get a fresh breath of life? These are the questions that will be relevant in 2024, irrespective of the electoral outcome.

Read the article: https://www.outlookindia.com/national/will-hindutva-survive-after-2024

#Hindutava #LokSabhaElections #Ideology

Follow Us
Website: https://www.outlookindia.com/
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Outlookindia
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/outlookindia/
X: https://twitter.com/Outlookindia
Whatsapp: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaNrF3v0AgWLA6OnJH0R
Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@OutlookMagazine
Dailymotion: https://www.dailymotion.com/outlookindia

“Cavemen” is a common way to describe humanity’s distant, ancient ancestors and it’s rather apropos. That’s because they often did in fact live in caves, however a new discovery made in Saudi Arabia reveals an interesting little twist in that tale.

When you go to a place like Disneyland, where tens of thousands of people go every day, you’re bound to have to deal with all sorts of crazy things from different people. You can have wonderful moments when a stranger does something nice for you, but you can also have frustrating moments with tired and angry people. And then there are the gross things you’ll see that you wish you never had to witness.

If you’ve spent any considerable amount of time in a theme park, or just been unlucky, you may have witnessed some pretty awful stuff. A recent Reddit thread is highlighting the grossing thing people have seen at Disneyland specifically, and while there are all sorts of terrible things, I’m noticing three recurring themes.
