_5-spectators-fatal-crash-esztergom-rallye-2024.jpg "Five spectators were killed and at least seven injured, one seriously, during the 11th edition of the Esztergom Nyerges Rally, the opening event of the season, held on Sunday afternoon, 24 March 2024, in north-western Hungary.<br/><br/>During the fifth special stage of the event, between the towns of Lábatlan and Bajot, a white Škoda Fabia Rally2 evo bearing the race number #4, driven by János Tóth-Viktor Bán, veered off the road while traveling at speeds exceeding 100 km/h (62 mi/h) and crashed into a group of spectators. Four of them, three men and one woman lost their lives on the spot, a young boy was among the casualties.<br/><br/>Almost thirty persons were involved in the accident. Two people, including a young girl sustained serious injuries, while six others were transported to a hospital with lighter injuries. Sadly, the young girl succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday morning, 26 March 2024.<br/><br/>According to eyewitnesses report, neither the driver of the rally car nor the spectators had a chance to avoid the collision. Coming from Lábatlan in Komárom-Esztergom county, along a slippery road where other competing cars had already skidded off without consequences, János Tóth vainly tried to counter-steer, the out of control car slid and slammed into a gate entrance after hitting the spectators.<br/><br/>The name of the five victims were not released.<br/><br/>Owing to the tragedy, the rally was immediately stopped. According to the Hungarian National Motorsport Association (MNASZ), dozens of spectators, including the deceased people, were standing in a prohibited area. They were warned several times by marshals and policemen.<br/><br/>R.I.P<br/><br/>(This is probably a goodbye! Prepare to jump into “Gun It”, the new co-op game of fast vehicular action. <br/><br/>Spot a threat to the right and toss over the shotgun. Slip the car out of the way of that truck before it explodes. Demand the pistol from the driver, to deal with a motorcycle catching up fast. There will be shouting, hectic equipment exchanges, and of course, collateral damage.<br/><br/>'Gun It' is a timed cooperative programming game for 1-4 players, that plays in 15-30 minutes. Players are together in a car in the middle of a firefight against the Inertia Corporation, and must come up with a plan for how to successfully eliminate threats without destroying themselves. Using a simple core mechanic, players exchange cards determining actions, and when time is up, they unleash their plan on the hostile vehicles all around. Hopefully nothing went wrong!<br/><br/>The crew car tile is placed on the table, and players choose a driver. Rotate the car so the driver is correctly seated at the front-left of the car. Each player receives a player aid according to their position in the car. Their seat at the table is their position in the car!<br/><br/>Deal out the 12 basic action cards: 4 equipment (steering wheel, shotgun, pistol, uzi), 4 directional arrows, and 4 turn order cards. Each player holds just three cards: 1 turn order, 1 direction, and 1 equipment.<br/>Rounds<br/><br/>The game is played over a series of rounds, the number of which is determined by the current game scenario.<br/><br/>Phase 1 - Lookout - Fill the 8 grid spaces around the crew car with vehicles, mostly sent from the Inertia Corporation.<br/><br/>Draw settings and moments that impact the rules for the round.<br/><br/>Phase 2 - Planning - For two minutes, exchange action cards, heeding any moments or settings. Players may exchange any and all cards amongst each other, the only constraint is that the steering wheel has to stay in the front seat. Try to come up with the best plan. Once time runs out, action cards are locked.<br/><br/>Phase 3 - Action! - In order, each crew member acts on the scene around the crew car, according to the cards they hold. Vehicles are wrecked when receiving damage equal to their health. They then explode in any number of directions, as determined by their collateral damage arrows.<br/><br/>Earn points by creating wreckage pileups and openings around the car’s final position.<br/><br/>Phase 4 - Aftermath - At the end of each round, all vehicles collapse inward on the crew car's position.
