With a new generation of owners now getting behind the wheel of the IONIQ 5 N, Hyundai will spark even more excitement at the 102nd running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC) on June 23, 2024. Two 641-horsepower IONIQ 5 N cars will go after the Electric Production SUV/Crossover record as part of a four-car effort.<br/><br/>The drivers of the IONIQ 5 N vehicles going for the Electric Production SUV/Crossover record are Paul Dallenbach and Ron Zaras. Dallenbach is an eleven-time PPIHC winner and set an overall record in 1993. Zaras is a PPIHC rookie and the newest team member. Zaras, a media personality and former Hoonigan executive, was recently chosen to showcase the story of a motorsport enthusiast preparing for this massive challenge of competing at Pikes Peak.<br/><br/>In addition, Hyundai will debut a modified specification IONIQ 5 N to compete at PPIHC prior to the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring on May 30. Two of these additional IONIQ 5 N models will be driven by Dani Sordo and Robin Shute. Shute is a four-time overall winner and King of the Mountain title holder at Pikes Peak. Sordo is a Spanish World Rally Championship driver for Hyundai Motorsport.

Rich Man Has Pininfarina Crafts Bespoke Reversario Opposite Anniversary.<br/>The owner of the fifth Battista Anniversario has put the twin of his electric hypercar into service.<br/><br/>Automobili Pininfarina has created a one-off order of the Battista electric hypercar for a private customer who already owns the Anniversario.<br/>Nicknamed Reversario, this vehicle has the exact opposite features compared to its Anniversarios.<br/>The lucky owner of the Anniversario and Reversario duo claims that the twin models “can never be separated because they are truly integral in design.”<br/>If you are entering the market for dedicated hypercars such as the Pininfarina Battista, you may have the privilege of being deeply involved in the development process; this can spark interesting ideas. That's what happened when the owner of the fifth of five Anniversario special editions ordered another example of the electric hypercar and asked Automobili Pininfarina designers to create the exact opposite: the Reversario.<br/><br/>The Pininfarina Battista Anniversario was released in 2020, celebrating the company's 90th anniversary, with a special livery and limited production of five units. As the name suggests, Battista Reversario creates the perfect twin by reversing the colors of the original.<br/><br/>The main bodywork and five-spoke wheels are painted in Bianco Sestiere gloss, while the upper part is painted in Grigio Antonelliano gloss. Like the original, the Iconica Blu stripe highlights the dual-tone finish with matching accents around the body. Additionally, a unique badge has been added to the lower part of the active rear spoiler, as well as the Reversario lettering on the carbon side wings.<br/><br/>The Reversario's interior is also the exact opposite of the black-themed Anniversario; It has white Alcantara and leather upholstery. STI Sport Black Interior Selection is now available for the Japanese-spec Subaru Forester.<br/><br/>The fifth-generation Subaru Forester continues to experience another model year in Japan with its carried over design and powertrains.<br/>Model year updates include the addition of the new STI Sport Black Interior Selection special edition.<br/>The US-spec Forester Wilderness' Geyser Blue is available only for Japan-spec X-Edition and XT-Edition models.<br/>Subaru may have introduced the new sixth generation of the Forester in North America, but Japanese buyers will have to make do with the current model, which has been on the market since 2018. The domestic version Forester will receive minor model year updates for 2024, including the new STI Sport. A Black Interior Select trim is available, adopting an all-black theme for the cabin.<br/><br/>The exterior of the SUV remains unchanged since its last facelift in 2021. However, Subaru aims to maintain buyer interest with new equipment and special versions. The company is introducing the Subaru Forester STI Sport Black Interior Selection special edition for the 2024 model year.<br/><br/>Based on the current STI Sport trim introduced in 2022, this version features a darker interior that combines Nappa leather upholstery for the seats with silver stitching and piano black inserts.<br/><br/>Additionally, the STI Sport Black Interior Selection can be combined with the exclusive Offshore Blue Metallic exterior colour. Despite the connotations of the STI Sport badge, the model does not receive any power upgrades in lower trim levels and produces the same 175 hp (130 kW / 177 PS) from its 1.8-liter turbocharged boxer engine. It does, however, feature a set of STI-tuned dampers, resulting in improved credential processing.<br/><br/>Another highlight of the 2024 MY is the Geyser Blue color, available exclusively for the X-Edition and XT-Edition trims. This is the same color used on the US-spec Subaru Forester Wilderness, first introduced in Japan in late 2022 with the XT-Edition.<br/><br/>Both the X-Edition and XT-Edition trims are equipped with waterproof upholstery, durable cargo floor lining and black interior accents. The main difference is that the Forester X-Edition gets the 2.0-litre e-Boxer hybrid powertrain, while the XT-Edition gets the more powerful 1.8-litre turbocharged engine. All trims of the Forester come standard with Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system.<br/><br/>Pricing for the 2024 Subaru Forester in Japan starts at ¥3,069,000 ($20,040). As for special trims, the X-Edition starts at ¥3,377,000 ($22,051), the XT-Edition starts at ¥3,432,000 ($22,411), and the STI Sport Black Interior Select starts at ¥3,850,000 ($25,137).<br/><br/>This may be the last model year of the fifth-generation Subaru Forester in the Japanese market.
