So that was always fascinating. Otherwise, I'm a very sporty guy. My plan B is always if everything fails, I can become a Pilates teacher. So that's my plan B. She invites her old art teachers from Ysgol Greenhill and St Teilos, and any others who knew her growing up as a child, to the exhibition, on display from May 3 to June 16.<br/>“I’m so excited to finally share my artwork in such a professional platform, in a beautiful historic spot, Tenby Museum and Art Gallery,” said Rachel. <br/>“I visited the museum many times as a child; overlooked the best beach I played on every summer growing up. We’d run from school straight to the beach and if it started raining we’d either run to the Dennis cafe or take a trip to the museum. <br/>“It’s so nice to finally hold a special exhibition in such a special place. That’s why it’s called ‘Tenby Treasures, Nostalgic Brushstrokes’.”<br/>‘Tenby Treasures: Nostalgic Brushstrokes’ will mark Rachel’s first solo exhibition in her home town of Tenby.<br/>Rachel’s work is a reflection of what she loves most about nature. Painting seascapes and landscapes, capturing dramatic skies, evocative reflections with attention to detail. Recently, painting pebbles has become a trademark of hers.<br/>Rachel, who was born and brought up in Tenby, Pembrokeshire, became a self-taught artist at an early age. Drawing from the beauty on her doorstep, Rachel loves to paint the South Wales coastline. She hopes to create a feeling of nostalgia for those who view her work.<br/>Rachel now resides in Cardiff, with her husband and four children. As well as being a full-time mother, she chases spare time painting, teaching classes and exhibiting her work. She took part in the Channel 5 series Watercolour Challenge. Last Christmas she returned to Tenby to hold two paint-along sessions, one for adults and one for the whole family.<br/>You can meet Rachel and talk about her work at the preview evening, May 11, 6-7pm.")

_deputy-caught-trespassing-yet-again-april-30-2024.jpg "In the late evening of April 30th, 2024, a sheriff's deputy in Caldwell Parish, Louisiana was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle call. Complainant who wasn't home, was advised by a neighbor that a pickup truck had been parked in her driveway for approximately 30 minutes, the driver of which was possibly fishing in her private pond, and she wanted a deputy to check it out. The vehicle's license plate returned to a fellow deputy - whose name the dispatcher either accidentally misread, or intentionally misstated in an effort to keep it off the air and therefore cover up the crime. They determined it was likely that deputy's son - but I think it could have just as easily been the deputy himself.<br/><br/>That deputy happens to be the same one who was caught earlier in the month walking through a woman's yard and shining a flashlight through her windows, and a few months prior was also caught acting suspicious near another woman's house and mailbox in a different area of the parish. If it was him this time, that makes twice in less than a month - and three times in 5 months - that he was caught and reported acting suspicious on other peoples' properties. If it was instead his son, I guess the apple didn't fall far from the tree.<br/><br/>Apparently the deputy was contacted by phone (or may have been listening to his department-issued radio) and either decided to leave (if it was him) or contacted his son and advised him to leave (if it was his son). Either way, the suspect vehicle was leaving as the responding deputy arrived, no traffic stop or investigation was conducted (imagine that...) and no action was taken. Contrast with how it would've been handled had it not been a fellow LEO (or his son), the vehicle would've been stopped and likely searched, the occupant(s) would've been questioned and warned to not return or they would be arrested for trespassing.<br/><br/>It must be nice to be #abovethelaw .")
