As they investigate, the unit realizes that Azma was an escort. Meanwhile, the dead body of a girl named Tara Sachdev is found in Jaipur. Avinash realizes that there's a connection between the two murders. But it's not easy to zero in on a suspect as there are too many players involved, all with their own motives. What happens next forms the rest of the film.<br/><br/>Aban Bharucha Deohans' story is intriguing. Aban Bharucha Deohans' screenplay is captivating in places. In no time, one gets sucked into the goings-on. The writing is also peppered with a lot of unexpected developments. However, it gets too stretched in the middle. Aban Bharucha Deohans' dialogues have an impact but a few one-liners seem forced.<br/><br/>Aban Bharucha Deohans' direction is uncomplicated, which is very important since a lot happens in the film and there are too many suspects. As it happens in most whodunits, the director makes viewers guess who must be behind the killings and the motive for doing so. There’s also a human trafficking angle that adds a lot to the plot. In fact, the Jaipur episode keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. The suspense is unpredictable.<br/><br/>On the flipside, the film is 2 hours and 22 minutes long. It drags at some places. Though the makers try their best to keep the narrative simple, a few developments are confusing. The flashback of the killing at the bar is very unconvincing. How exactly the killer killed so many without a hindrance is not easy to digest. Also, the motive behind it is weak. A few developments are not depicted visually and are given a raw deal. It hampers the impact to some extent.")

The competition plays with the standard masala humourthroughsongs like ‘Made in India’ and ‘Marhaba’to jolt you out of the staleness-induced stupor.<br/><br/><br/>There is a fight scene after that with a few muscled competitors and the hero, because winning graciously is a lost art on them. After punches and bodies fly thick through the air, there is a moment when the men regroup on the hero to jiggle their moobs at him. That is only beginning of the cringe-worthy scenes that are to follow.<br/>Meanwhile, Diya is constantly badgered by her co-model John (Upen Patel) for a date. She does not comply and he uses his clout to remove her from key assignments. Act 2 has Diya grooming Lingesan into Lee, a more enticing professional counterpart. Here, the makers throw in a transgender makeup artist (Ojas M Rajani), the stereotyping making the most hardened viewer recoil. Act 3 features a gruesome sabotage of the hero’s appearance, which morphs into a revenge drama. Lingesan, seething, disfigured and vengeful, will give it as good as he has gotten.<br/><br/><br/>I may not have an original concept, but a less tiresome execution could have worked immensely in its favour. The beginning may seem made with the quintessential flair of a standard potboiler, but the sequences shot in China are truly breathtaking. This happens in Act 2,when the proceedings are still light and Diya-Lee team up for a perfume advertisement. A fight scene shot on the rooftops, with murderous cyclists, is the only one that stands out in the entire film.<br/>Despite being a love story, the romance angle is uninspired. Diya does not seem drawn to Lingesan, except for his machismo.<br/><br/><br/>The dramatic scenes in the latter half of the film are heavy-handed and replete with ham moments that could give a butcher a complex. Lavishly shot song sequences to dot the narrative, end up stretching the film’s running time and the audience’s patience. For investigating officer Dev (Akshaye), both are suspects till he unearths the truth and finds Vikram’s motive behind killing Shekhar. The makers of the film disclosed that the film will have a different climax than the original film Ittefaq (1969). This 2017 mysterious thriller stars Sidharth Malhotra, Akshaye Khanna, and Sonakshi Sinha. Clear cut editing by Nitin Baid and adept cinematography by Michal Luka makes it a watchable movie. It was released on 3 November 2017 and was distributed by AA Films. The music was composed by Tanishk Bagchi. The film was made on a budget of ₹29 crores and it collected ₹ 56.26 crores at the box office. The Censor Board has categorized the movie under UA certification and occupies a screen time of 107 minutes. UK based novelist Vikram Sethi (Sidharth) is a prime suspect in two murders. One, of his wife Catherine and another of Maya’s (Sonakshi) husband Shekhar. While he has been pleading not guilty, Maya has been accusing him of killing her husband. For investigating officer Dev (Akshaye), both are suspects till he unearths the truth and finds Vikram’s motive behind killing Shekhar. Both Sidharth and Maya’s versions of the night when it all happened are believable, leaving you confused about who the real killer is. Are they really innocent or is one of them lying? Could there be a third person who’s actually committed the crime? Does the police truly want to nab the killer or just close this high profile case ASAP?
