Thais celebrate Pride ahead of final Senate reading to legalize same-sex marriage<br/><br/>Thailand is set to legalize same-sex marriage as an equality bill heads for the final readings on Tuesday (June 18) in the Southeast Asian country's Senate later this month.<br/><br/>The bill, overwhelmingly passed in its first reading in April, had the support of all of Thailand's major parties and was more than a decade in the making.<br/><br/>A Senate approval would still require the king's endorsement before it becomes law and would take effect 120 days later.
